Deposits

Deposits vary, and are determined by the size of the tattoo. I require a minimum deposit of $100 to secure any appointment (which can be paid by cash or e-transfer to joel@joelnewmantattoos.com). 

Appointment slot is only confirmed once the deposit has been received. I will begin creating custom designs once the deposit is paid. 1 redesign is included in the deposit amount.  

Rescheduling

 All deposits paid are non-refundable and non-transferable to others, with no exceptions. If you need to reschedule, your deposit may be transferred to a new date one time provided adequate notice (1 week) is given.

You must actually speak to myself when rescheduling your appointment in order to retain your deposit. Text messages/IM's are not acceptable methods of communication when cancelling or rescheduling your appointment. If notifying us by email, keep in mind that it may not be read in time for us to fill the spot (due to the sheer volume of mail we receive on a daily basis) and that we still require that you communicate directly with a member of staff in order to confirm the booking change.  

*Please note: I do not hold onto deposits for clients who are unable to provide an alternative date for the appointment when rescheduling.

No shows and last-minute cancellations

No shows, last-minute cancellations (less than 5 business days), or multiple requests to reschedule an appointment will result in forfeiture of the entire deposit to help cover the artist's time spent designing and/or loss of income for the day. 

*If, due to unforeseen circumstances I need to cancel the appointment last-minute, I will make every effort to re-book the appointment a time that is most convenient for you, the client. In this case the deposit will be carried forward to the new booking.

Should you, the client be unable or choose not to rebook, I will happily refund the deposit in full. However, when making any booking you, the client acknowledges that I will not be liable for any additional out-of-pocket expenses incurred in relation to travel/accommodation.
